Highway Skip Permits
When you hire your skip there will be occasions that you will require the use of a road permit. A permit is needed when the skip needs to be placed on the public highway. The public highway is usually any area outside the immediate boundary of your property.
We as the skip hire company are required to obtain the permit on behalf of the customer from the local authority.
Currently Wirral Borough Council charge £35.40 for small skips and £53.25 for large skips. The permit is issued same day and valid for 14 days, not charged per exchange of skip you may hire within this period.
Cheshire West & Chester Borough Council require notice to obtain a permit which can take anything up to 5 working days to be agreed. The current charge is to be confirmed.
